Greenhithe promenade from old postcard

The Promenade. The view was taken before 1907 from the top of the causeway towards the Park. The writer of the postcard states that it "is being turned into a  factory" This would have been the Empire Paper Mills. Much
of the view was changed in the mid 1970's when the flood defences were built. The wall in the foreground still partially exists and can be seen in Pier Road. The men are standing in the present slipway, and beyond is Crest's Ingress Park development.
